NOTICE REGARDING THE NATIONAL SOCIETY OF BLACK ENGINEERS (NSBE)

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT CONFERENCE (PDC)

AT THE MIAMI MARRIOTT DADELAND

AUGUST 10-14, 2022

As mandated by Florida law, Section 381.00316(1), The National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) has lifted its COVID-19 vaccine, testing and mask requirements for registration and attendance at the Professional Development Conference (PDC), scheduled at the Miami Marriott Dadeland, August 10, 2022, through August 14, 2022.

The governor of Florida and the Florida Department of Health have taken the position that this Florida law makes illegal the COVID-19 mandates for registration and participation at such events in Florida. While the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) still encourages all participants to follow CDC guidelines and be vaccinated, tested and to use measures such as masks to reduce the risks of COVID-19 infections, the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) is required to comply with Florida law for this conference. Please disregard previous notices regarding COVID-19 mandates and required submission of documentation as a condition for registration and attendance. All mandates are lifted.
